Harry Adjmi, one of the leading figures in the Syrian Jewish community that owns much of the city’s retail, has recovered after a close call with Covid-19. Adjmi returned to his home in Flatbush earlier this month after spending two weeks on a respirator, The Yeshiva World reported. The coronavirus has spread rampantly throughout the city, and once someone is put on a respirator they have a relatively small chance of recovering. Gov. Andrew Cuomo
