Building crumbles, scaffolding collapses in Midtown

Part of a building fell in Manhattan Thursday, and was followed by the collapse of suspended scaffolding just around the corner. The wall of 211 East 34th Street, a vacant five-story building, collapsed around 11:30 a.m. and then again a few hours later. WABC was the first to report the incident. The property is owned by an LLC tied to Lalezarian Properties and Kahen Properties. The firms were not immediately reachable for comment. There was
