Bronx-based investor Martin Shapiro bought Ben Shaoul’s Liberty Toye apartment building in the East Village for $85 million. Shapiro, who heads Bronx River Management Corp., closed Friday on the purchase of the 81-unit rental building at 62 Avenue B, according to sources with knowledge of the deal.
